1975 Chevy K20 – Don S.
I purchased this truck back in 1977. I kept the truck 100% stock other than dual exhausts up until last year when I decided it was time to give it the makeover it deserved. With only 130,000 original miles, it was still a very solid truck and dependable truck.
I started out thinking just a basic repaint. But as it usually happens, one thing led to another and I pretty much ended up redoing the truck inside and out, including stripping the undercarriage and repainting the bottom side, too.
The truck turned out nicely and I had numerous inquiries from people wanting to buy it. I did change the stock “gold and saddle tan” color combination for GM “Dark Tarnished Gray Metallic” with a Black interior.
I hated to do it, but after 38 years I was ready for a new ride. So I did shed a tear as my old friend as it went on down the road to its new owner. I am, however, really enjoying my new 2015 Silverado.
