1998 Chevy Silverado – Shaun R.

When I was only 6 years old, my father bought a used 1992 Chevrolet Silverado and I fell in love with it instantly. It was burgundy with bench cloth seats and a 350 c.i. engine. The sound, ride and the look of this truck sticks with me today, so I knew that when opportunity struck I would own my own one day. June 2013 was the day I made my dream a reality. After months of searching, I found a beautiful black 1998 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 5.7L in amazing condition with 201,000 miles on it in Greenville, SC for sale, but it was a two and a half hour drive there since I live in Charleston. After many phone calls back and forth to the dealership, I decided to make the ride with who else but my father. After a short test drive, I knew it was the one for me. I brought it home that afternoon. After a little aftermarket tweaking ( Stainless Toolbox, Bed Rail, Chevrolet 22″ chrome wheels with 33″ Nitto Tires, Thrush dual exhaust, Aftermarket Stereo, CB Radio) I made it my own and 30,000 miles later she still continues to impress me. She may clean up pretty nice, but I’m not afraid to take her through the trails and get a little muddy. I get many offers from folks wanting to buy her from me, but I couldn’t see myself letting her go. Best decision I ever made.
