1986 Ford F150-Brad B.

My father special ordered this Ford F-150 in 1986 from a local Ford dealer. This truck was his pride and joy and he kept it up until 2005 when he sold it with approximately 140,000 original miles on it. The truck didn’t go too far away only to a neighboring town about 8 miles away. Due to the new owner living so close we would frequently drive by Dad’s old truck and see the truck parked in the driveway of it’s new owner. Everytime we would drive by the new owner’s residence my dad would utter the words, “That truck is still a good looking truck….I never should have sold it.” Dad passed away in 2011 at the age of 86 years of age.
Approximately a year or so later after his passing I observed Dad’s truck parked at a local dealer in my town. After observing it sitting on the dealer’s parking lot for about one week, curiosity got the best of me and I decided to go in the dealership to inquire if it was there being serviced or what…. Upon making the inquiry, I was informed that Dad’s old truck was traded in by the previous owner and the dealer was awaiting a wholesaler to pick up the truck. I negated the wholesaler from picking up Dad’s truck and bought it back for a sweet $800.00. ($150,000 miles)
After having the truck serviced and it’s engine back in running condition. The first stop I made was to Dad’s grave to let him know that the truck was back in the family and that the truck is still a good looking truck. I’m sure Dad was smiling down on me that day from heaven.
