1975 Ford Ranger F250-Pete H.

I have owned my 1975 Ford pickup, or as I like to call him Rex for three years now. I purchased my truck from a childhood neighbor, in which I had always admired it and dreamed that I would one day have one like it. Fast forward 30+ years, my younger brother was going to attend a high school reunion there in Northern California and during his time there decided to drive through the old neighborhood and happened to bump into our neighbor which still lived there after all of those years. They got to talking and my brother mentioned the fact that I had always like his truck and wanted to have one like it! The older Gentlemen said that he had broken his hip in the last year and had difficulty in entering and exiting the truck because of it’s height (Stock High-Boy) So my brother asked him if he would be interested in selling it to me. To his and my surprise, he said yes! My brother immediately called me to tell me the news and then soon after, my wife and I flew up made the purchase and drove the truck to Phoenix, Arizona where it would spend a year in storage and then finally be trailered out to our home in Colorado. I replaced the engine with a re manufactured 360CI V8 and a few other things, but for the most part it is still stock. I use it to take our dogs out for walks and other light duty stuff, but primarily just for fun drives. So in the end my dream did come true! I plan to restore it little by little, because as you know, Rome wasn’t built in a day!
