1999 Chevy S10 – Adam K.
| This truck was my uncle’s for as long as I can remember. Upon his passing, my aunt gave the truck to me. I was 16 and had a truck; I was living the dream. The truck got me all of the way through high school, slowly, with the 4 cylinder. Having grown up around and helped on many family member’s project cars and trucks, I wanted one of my own. So, I embarked on the perilous adventure of swapping a Gen III v8 into the truck. Overall, the swap went as to be expected: little cutting here, a little welding there. I have jokingly dubbed the truck Frankens10, due to the different parts put on it: V6 radiator, Dodge Intrepid electric fans, Tahoe engine, Hummer oil pan, Silverado transmission, Ford Explorer rear end, Blazer seats, and console, and many more new and old parts. After many trips to the junkyard and quite a few shipments from LMC, the truck came out exactly how I wanted it to, a powerful, fun-to-drive, sleeper that’ll spin the tires on command. Here is a list of the modifications that I have done so far: Mechanical: Appearance: |
