1969 Ford F100-Joshua T.

I learned how to drive in a 1967 F100 step side, just like this one, well kinda like this one. My son Jaden is 12 and will soon be looking to learn how to drive. So last year after I got home from deployment, he and I started the hunt for a truck that we could build together. Our journey took us all over the southeast, and multiple calls as far west as Dallas. As luck would have it we found one just 70 miles away in Bay Springs MS.
After getting the deal worked out with the couple, my son and I loaded it up a made a muddy trek back home. A year has went in to the truck, lots of weekends, and evenings. My son helped when he could, and I roped my daughter and wife in helping me sand the door jambs and bleed some brakes. Most of the work was done by me, my buddy Jim and Jaden when he wasn’t at baseball practice.
The truck had a tired 302 V8 and “three on the tree”, Jim and I said this will never do. I need a daily driver that is safe and dependable. I bought a 2003 Crown Victoria, installed the drop out front end, engine, transmission and a rear end from a 1994 Crown Vic. I know it isn’t original, or numbers matching, but this truck has plenty of “go” but the best part is it has plenty of whoa from four wheel disc. Every bolt has been turned and most replaced, thanks to LMC. Oh yeah, all the truck is 100% FoMoCo!
I hope you enjoy the pictures, I love this truck, and I hope my son will too. I know the best memories I have to date is my dad putting me on his lap behind the huge steering wheel and he said let’s see what the 300 I-6 can do across the field we went.
