1986 F-150 Lariat with a 302-5.0 fuel injected V-8.

In 2013 I found the truck while mowing an acre of land for a lady from church. Her father had purchased the truck new and owned the truck until he passed away in 2005 at which time she drove the truck occasionally but then parked it under a shed in 2009. I checked out the truck and felt it had potential for restoration back to the original condition, so I purchased the truck. To get the truck started it took a new battery, cleaned the carburetor, drained the old gas and put new fuel in, aired up the tires and the truck finally started. I drove it around the yard to be sure that it would stay running, then drove it 15 miles to my home to start work on it. The renovation began and as I got deeper into the restoration of the truck it required new fuel tank, fuel pump, filters, all of the hoses, brake lines, brake shoes, universal joints, shocks, ball joints, tirod ends, and I opted to replace the exhaust system with a dual exhaust system with dyne-flow mufflers. The underneath was pressure washed and repainted. The interior was cleaned, and the side door panels were replaced. The original chrome bumper was rusty but I was pleased at how it cleaned up. The original windshield was also replaced. The original cast iron tire rims and Ford hub caps are in excellent condition. I replaced them with Chrome rims and chrome inserts from LMC and new tires. After two years of work and thanks to LMC for having the necessary parts I have achieved my goals for the truck. The truck has been entered in numerous car & truck shows and has been awarded several trophies. This was my first adventure into a detailed restoration.
