1995 GMC 1500 – Cody S.

I’ve had my truck for a while now. It was given to me by my dad when I was 16, now 20. My dad bought it in ’97 with 60,000 miles on it. It was in perfect shape, practically brand new. When my dad bought it, he always liked to have a nice looking truck, never liked just being the same Z71 you’d see every day. The truck has been through some changes over the years. When he first got it, he put on a 2 inch body lift, 33 inch tires with the classic bullet hole wheels, and a brush guard. It looked pretty sharp. Later on after he got bored with the look, he wanted something different. He put the stock wheels back on it with 35 inch Maxxis Buckshots, and had the bottom of the truck Line-Xed. It looked pretty decent to me but not my style. When he got a new truck, I ended up with the Z71. I decided I was going to make my own changes to it. I installed 15×8 Helo wheels on 33×12.50 Kenda A/Ts, added a lightbar, smoked headlights and taillights, fog lights, replaced the stock grill, and some little things here and there to stand out from the rest. The truck has been a great truck, with 350,000 miles on her and still rolling strong, I say it’s been a good one. I was basically raised in that truck and drove it since I was 10. I will always keep this truck since my family has had it since ’97. I don’t ever plan to get rid of it because it’s a never-ending project. Something always has to be different.
