1990 Chevy 454ss – Cody D.
| My truck was purchased by my dad for my 15th birthday from a friend. He knew the history of the truck and thought it would make a great father-son project. We started with replacement fenders, patched the doors and maybe change the bed, but it soon went to replace fenders, doors, southern bed install roll pan remove cab, lower it gives it something extra rather than the plain black 454ss so we decided on 2 tone with a stripe then I decided I wanted paint scheme to follow thru the whole truck doorjambs doors under hood inside bed which we did and it turned out amazing. I kept the interior mostly stock. It was a project that’s for sure kept my wallet empty and kept me learning. The truck got completed late last summer while I was 19 and one last minute decision we bolted on a Whipple supercharger a few days before truck Carlisle but was all worth it as I took 2nd in my class there. Also just recently took 1st at World of wheels as well. So I have a lot to be proud of now being 20 years old with a great looking truck that LMC has helped me out in so many ways with all those little things you never know you’re going to need. One thing I really like from LMC is the awesome interior redesigned dome light with led, lights up the interior so nice now to show it off. Thank you again LMC for carrying a great selection of truck parts, I’ll be using you again as I am looking for another 454ss to do in red. I hope photos I picked are ok so tough to show my pride with what it looked like to being finished and wish I could show more of work being done. |
