1969 Chevy C10 – John L.
I purchased the truck from an estate. It had a frame-off paint job, a later-model interior and the retrofitted 2000 stepside Ford bed. I would have liked to know more of the story behind the truck, but the owner had passed away and those handling the estate did not know any details. Anyway, we replaced the 350 cu.in. engine (which was making some ominous noises) with a carbureted 350 with .030″ oversized pistons and higher-lifting cams. We also replaced the 3-speed transmission with a 700-R4 and a B&W shifter. We have since added the Digital Dakota instrument cluster.
I use the truck as a semi-daily driver, as well as some cruise-ins, and it draws quite a bit of attention, especially with the Ford bed.
I enjoy having the truck and thought that others would enjoy seeing it.
