1978 Ford F150-Kevin W.

I was looking for a short bed 4wd to restore for a few years. I frame off restored a 1970 when my son was 1 and ended up selling it by the time he was 5. He really never got to see it. So I wanted to get another truck and restore it since he was now a teenager. I received this truck in trade for another 4wd Ford that I bought for only $800. It was in horrible condition and needed pretty much everything. This truck sat for a year before I got to it. Then it began. And I decided to do a complete 100 percent frame off restoration. I spent over $60,000 and spent 4 years doing it. Detroit lockers in rear, 456 gears, Tom Woods custom shafts, built 460, lots of chrome and performance parts, electric fans, electric fuel pump, painless rewire kit, 9″ lift, dual front shocks, 38.5″ super swampers, dual flow master 40’s, custom headers, Alpine Bluetooth deck, 12 punch speakers, custom speaker box work, punch 1000 amp, buckets, 5 point harnesses, GPS tracking, viper alarm, all new glass, everything new, Ford Grabber Blue! My son is now in the Air Force and I was going to do some Air Force logos on the truck but not sure now. He got back from a year in Korea just when I was finishing this truck. He is now 20 and can definitely appreciate what this truck after the restore. When he was 15 and helped me load it on our trailer, he was laughing at me and thought I was crazy. Not so much now. I own 31 Ford trucks and this is definitely my favorite one! Words can’t explain how it feels to drive it around town! Thanks LMC for supplying me with parts to restore this beauty!!!! S
