1956 Chevy-Troy G.
I recently purchased this truck and the previous owner had just recently installed a new LS 6.2 liter custom crate engine. The dyno sheet shows it producing right at 400 hp to the rear wheels on the two best pulls. I had been looking for a tri five truck that reminded me of the one I had back in high school in the very early eighties. This one fit the bill for me because it had the bare bones old school look that I like and even had the right stance that I was after. Another strong point for this truck was the tilt wheel, 700 R trans, new Dakota Gages and aluminum radiator. But the most important thing that attracted me to this truck was the fact that I was looking for a daily driver and not a trailer queen or even a show truck but rather one I could drive most anytime and park it most anywhere without worrying about a gravel chip or a sudden little rain shower. In other words this is a truck I can drive and really enjoy because the paint is not perfect. Body wise it is an older restoration from the eighties that still is a solid truck not perfect but just right to actually drive and enjoy. I will be doing some freshen up and further upgrades to the truck with the help of LMC parts without loosing the old school vibe that attracted me to this truck in the first place. A/C will be installed before next summer.
