1989 Chevy Blazer – Joey W.
This truck was saved from rotting out in a field where countless other Blazers and Suburbans sat out in the weather. When bought, it was sitting stock on 33″ A/Ts, but soon after the purchase my father and I began to work on the truck. Fueled by my father’s previous build as a teenager of a late 70’s model Silverado, the Blazer’s first project was a 3inch lift. We kept it that was for a few months, but we wanted to go bigger. We now have the K5 sitting on a 6inch lift with 35″ M/Ts. The truck was previously white, and dubbed ‘White Lightning.’ After the lift was completed, we proceeded to paint it a flat olive drab, renaming it ‘Sarge.’ This build is far from complete, but it is a very meaningful asset to the relationship between my father and I, and we have so many great memories in this rig. I can’t wait to see where we can take this K5 in the future!
