There’s Something About an S10 Truck

I bought new my 1990 Chevy S10 4×4, with the 4.3 engine in February, 1991. It served me well until 2009. With over 230,000 miles, and never any serious problems, I suffered an engine breakdown. I parked it, and bought a 2004 Chevy Silverado 4×4, with 22,000 miles on it, which I still have and drive daily. Several offers were made about purchasing the S10 from me over the years, but I never seriously considered selling. Finally, in 2013, with my wife’s and daughter’s encouragement, I decided to restore it. My cousin owns a body shop in Bassett, VA and with his expertise and a little help (and money) from me, we finished it in the summer of 2015. Some of the new parts and accessories were purchased locally, but most were bought from LMC. I just completed a new garage where the truck will stay parked most of the time. Someday it will become my daughter’s to enjoy.
