1981 Chevy K10 – Ron W.

My father and I have been looking for an older truck for me to restore. I wanted an older looking truck that I could still make my own toy and customize but still have that simple, sleek look. While I was growing up, my father rebuilt a 1987. Same body. As a kid, I loved this truck, it was the coolest thing to me. My goal for this truck was to almost make my 1981 a “Jr” truck to his because I’m the Jr to him. I went with a simple gloss black paint for now but down the road I may try to mimic his paint by adding the white into it to really finish off the “Jr” feel. This restoration has really brought us closer and nothing can compare to the father-son bonding time!
