1984 Chevy S10 – Jay J.
| This truck starts out as a lost cause. It had the typical shade tree fixes. Drove this truck home from Elizabethtown, KY with the dog house held on by only 2 bolts, and the front springs were heated to drop front which made for a very unstable ride. The truck was completely stripped down to frame and build started there. I have a paint and body shop that I run during the day before going to work as a lead mechanic on 2nd shift. This truck was built from extra money I made in that shop. This project took just over 2 years to complete. Since its completion almost 3 months ago to this day, it has attended 3 car shows at which I have been awarded 2 trophies. People like to say ” why restore an S-10″ until they see it. As with any restomod, it was a pricey little build, but attending car shows and cruise-ins, it has become a rolling proof of the work I do and has gained me many jobs and calls for quotes. This build would not have been possible if not for LMC Truck and the quality parts and service they provide.
Fun facts from my ride: 340ci stroker with a T56 6 speed from 95 Camaro; Torsen posi unit with Richmond 3.73 gear; full Belltech suspension with 11/4 inch front and 7/8 inch rear sway bars; complete Wilwood brake system with rear disc conversion; |
