1972 Chevy K10 – Michael N.
Purchased the truck in 1985 and used it for a daily driver for several years. Around 1991 the engine died and I found a used one to keep me going. During the winter of 1995 the transmission failed. When I crawled under the truck I noticed the rusted out floor and cab supports. I already knew the doors, rockers and cab corners were suffering the same fate. I decided the time was right to strip it down and make a nice truck. I got my first LMC catalog and diligently started taking it apart. Both doors, right front fender, rockers, cab corners, floor and cab supports were the main metal parts replaced. Interior kit, chrome trim, glass, weatherstrip, you name it. I had the best intentions of a quick turnaround. Then life and family happened so the truck went to the back burner. As it sat as an ornament in my garage, my wife named it “Old Blue.” Both doors, right front fender, rockers, cab corners, floor, cab supports and inner fenders were the main metal parts replaced. Interior kit, chrome trim, glass, weatherstrip, fasteners, lenses you name it. The truck was painted the original blue and white. The engine is a 350 cu inch pushing close to 400Hp. Original transfer case and Turbo 350 trans were rebuilt. 32X11X15 BF Goodwrench All Terrains on Mickey Thompson Classic III wheels. Finally after 21 years and a lot of orders from LMC I have the truck I wanted. Old Blue turned out pretty nice.
