1959 GMC-Ben H.

I bought this truck from the grandson of the original owner in 2007 and it was all original. While trying to stop in a parking lot, the brakes went out. Wanting better braking and handling, a friend and I installed a 1974 Mustang II front end. Unfortunately, the original 6 cylinder motor wouldn’t go back in as it wouldn’t clear the cross member. This called for a small block Chevy engine and trans, and a Ford 9″ rear end. The truck project was launched. In the last 8 years, I have rewired the truck, replaced the bed wood, installed air conditioning and painted it. LMC has been there the entire journey with parts and inspiration.
