1978 Ford F250-Nick M.
Once the victim of a tree falling on the bed in a heavy windstorm she sat for a long time without the love it once received. After my dad sold the 1978 F-150 he had for over 20 years and the memories and stories I would hear about it growing up I was itching to buy one myself. I came across this one online and called my tow truck driver and told him to go pick it up. It was a few hours away and I just saw pictures of it online and had to have it. Once it showed up I began disassembling it right away and removing the smashed up bed that was on it. Well, this is where it got out of control. I think most people could agree that this is where your project just keeps going and going and its tough to stop. I had plans of getting it running and driving again and making it a respectable old ford but my love for these old trucks got the best of me and I can’t tell you how many hours I spent on it but here a couple years later she is finally done. Fully restored, every single nut and bolt and modified to how I wanted it to look. I’ve put together many projects over the years with my old man but nothing comes close to the extent of how involved this one got. I want to thank my buddy Nic Nedrow and his Dad for their help on this truck and Greg at Retro Rods in Monroe Washington for fitting the front end for final assembly as well as LMC for providing the much needed parts for completing this project. If it wasn’t for my Dad’s love for these old fords then I probably wouldn’t have been exposed to the potential of how beautiful and tough these old trucks are. There are very few that look this nice and its always a pleasure to see other people who share the same love and passion for these trucks as I do and help keep them preserved, restored and out of the scrap yard. With that said thank you Dad, Love you.
