1978 Ford F150-Lance F.
I purchased this truck from Russel Rimes who bought it new in 1978. While he took fantastic care of the truck, I wanted to put my own touches on it while maintaining the “Old School” look I grew up with. The truck has the original, though rebuilt, 351 Winsor engine in it built by my good buddy BJ France, who also went through the body, paint and interior. I added a cow hide seat, double roll bar with the lights, some wood interior done by myself, and added a 9″ lift and 38″ radial super swampers to keep the old look. We changed the gearing to 4:11 gears to give it that little more push it needed to move the large tires. Pretty much everything on the truck has been replaced or rebuilt and 90% of these components came from LMC. The truck is fun to drive and turns a lot of heads as she drives through town. With all of the new trucks running around, it sure feels good to have this old one passing them up.
