1973 Ford F350-Cody S.

The story of this truck is a great one to tell and I am honored for this opportunity to share it. The truck was bought brand new by my Grandfather in Tiskilwa Illinois. He and my grandmother used this truck mostly for family vacation as they took their five children, one of which being my mother, across most every state in the US. The truck has seen a lot over the years and many memories have been made with it. My grandparents kept a detailed list of every bit of maintenance that had been done to it from oil changes and spark plugs to alternators and tire replacement. Unfortunately I never got to meet my grandfather as he passed away several years before I was born in an accident in the woods. My grandma kept the truck and used it a few years after he passed but after a while the truck got parked in the garage and there it sat for 15 years completely untouched. I remember riding in the truck a time or two when I was little but most of my life it sat in the garage. I bought the truck April of 2015 as I always loved it and wanted to help preserve its great history and begin to make my own memories with it. It took a little tinkering to get it going as the brakes had rusted tight and having that old gas in it but I got it running with little hassle. The truck is a super camper special so it has the extended wheelbase, and it also has the Ranger XLT package. Truck has original paint and interior which shows how well it has been taken care of over the years. With 108,000 miles on it, it still runs like a watch. Just recently I used the truck for the getaway vehicle for my new bride and I, and I can’t wait to begin making our own memories with this old Ford truck.

In memory of O’Neil Elmore
Sincerely Cody
