1984 Chevy K10 – Kevin T.
| My first truck was a 1985 Chevrolet K10 Scottsdale. The truck was pretty rough and needed the engine rebuilt and a new transmission. I got rid of the truck and instantly regretted it. I always wanted to restore the truck and get it to show quality. That was 12 years ago. I always told myself that someday I’d get a similar truck and restore it. I pulled the trigger on this 84 a while back and have been tinkering with it for a short time now (with the help of LMC truck). It is in pretty good shape for a truck of its time but there are a handful of things I have yet to do and some rust repair that needs to be done. I’d eventually like to do a whole frame off resto but slow and steady as of now. I have a 2-year-old son and look forward to him getting older, working on the truck with me, and then one day having it handed down to him. I have many good memories wrenching on my old 85 with my brother and I look forward to many more with the 84. Thank you guys for everything you have to offer! |
