1984 Chevy K10 Silverado – Michael H.
| My Story starts in 2012 looking for this truck, I was not able to find the truck until Oct 2013, I purchased a 1984 Chevy K10 single cab long bed for $3,000 in Tucson, Arizona. The truck ran it had no body rust but the interior was trashed. Most of the work was done in my garage. At this point, I removed the springs and installed a full air ride system, for a smoother ride and to my knowledge, this has not been done on a K10. It took over 1 year to get the suspension to work properly. At this point, I removed everything right down to the body and frame, no wiring, no motor and no interior. Picked a local shop to do the body and paint approx. 5 months later I got it back. While the truck was in for paint I had Scottsdale Machine shop do all the internal work and order the best parts all forged balanced and ready to assemble. I assembled the motor added a Supercharger with a March Performance accessory kit. Started installing new wiring harness new radiator etc. installed motor back in the truck. At this time ordered all windows, interior dash, vents, trim, bezels, screws, nut, bolts, door panels and all hardware. I placed multiple orders thru LMC mostly online, every order came on time and was never missing any parts, I was also able to return a couple of parts with no hassles, I would recommend LMC to anyone and everyone. They had the most knowledgeable and friendly people to deal with. |
