1976 Chevy C10 – Lance N.
This pickup has been in my family since my grandfather bought it in 1979 and it’s been sitting behind the garage in the pasture since 2003 Just this last winter he passed due to cancer and this summer my idiot cousin decided he was going to put a for sale sign on it for $300, about gave me a heart attack after I knew grandpa wouldn’t sell it for $4,000. So I bought it from my grandmother I tried to give her the full amount but she would only let me pay her $2,000.
My plan is to completely restore the pickup and I mean an off frame restoration then rebuild everything practically change out every nut and bolt keep it the deluxe two tone but with a metallic copper (like the copper coat for engine gaskets ) and pearl white down the middle.
I went down to eastern Nebraska to get it on 6-25-2017 and with a full time job and only working on it a few hours a night I’ve already stripped the body off.
It does help that I’m a certified diesel mechanic from Wyotech.
My plan is to finish the pickup and have it ready for the June car show at WyoTech in 2018 with a dash pad with the words in loving memory of Kenith.
