1998 Chevy K1500 – Brandon Garcia

I bought truck 4 years ago because I wanted a 4×4 truck as a project. Started off small (at least that’s what I told myself). It needed a new engine, interior, tires, and so on. Rebuilt engine and put 38’s (truck had 35’some when bought it). Once I put engine i noticed not enough power to handle the 38’s. Decided to upgrade to performance. Upgraded engine to a 355 with a supercharger. That engine made huge difference! Then I would look at truck and think, I could still go bigger tires..so I did. Bought 20″ wheels and 39.5″ super swampers radials. After seeing the look I knew I had the look i wanted. I wanted truck to have that tough and rugged look, so the bumpers front and rear soon followed, then steps were next. After I got where I wanted I decided paint was next. So went with a charcoal gray bed rhino liner and decided to rhino line entire truck, to give it that rugged look. I thought i was done after paint, but NOPE! It seems that there is so much out there to keep furthering the upgrades for trucks. So I decided next thing was to completely modernized my truck. So that’s when I decided how cool it would be to modernize an old truck with a new drive train, so I knew it was time for an ls swap with fuel injection. I am still currently working on the ls swap which here in few weeks with be done. Upgraded transmission, fuel injection, computer, gauges, just about everything. I thank LMC trucks for having a lot of parts that were direct fits. Made my build that much more easy and fun.
