1983 Chevy Suburban – Clecio S.

I am from Brazil and I bought this 1983 Chevy Suburban 4×4 3 years ago. My plan was to rebuild/restore a truck reliable enough to drive all the way down back to my hometown in Brazil through Central America. The ideal truck would have to be 30 years or older (Brazil doesn’t allow car/trucks newer the 30 years old to be imported) 4×4, large and somehow fuel efficient. So after a few days researching I found out that the perfect truck to fit all these requirements would be a 1982/83 diesel 4×4 Suburban. By the way, diesel is cheaper than gas in the South and Central America countries.

So, in less than a year I was able to find a nice truck and started the restoration/rebuilding process. Finding the engine parts wasn’t a big deal, I was able to find pretty much everything at the local auto parts stores, but the interior parts and details were a different story, since I was in US for about a year and didn’t have any idea how to find those parts besides at junkyards

One day talking to a friend at work he told me about LMC truck. I was very impressed when I check the website for the first time, even more, when I received the catalog at home. I was amazed that I could get every single part of my truck. Everything was available for a very reasonable cost, and the quality was also impressed.

So, now I pretty much finished the restoration of my truck, it looks great as a new one but after all this time I decided to stay here in US longer and not sure yet when I will drive my Suburban down to Brazil. But today I have a very nice and truck, thanks to LMC truck.

Again, I’ve been very satisfied with your service and quality of parts. Please keep up the good work!
