1992 Chevy Silverado – Scott T.

In 2011 I was looking for a project that I could turn into a nice daily driver. I worked in Plano , TX at that time and asked a friend who owned a used car business to find me a truck. That day he took this truck on trade. I purchased the truck for 1745.00 including TTL. The truck had been hit lightly on the front end just enough to break the grille, bend the bumper, hood and both fenders. The fenders got into both doors just enough to roll the front edges. I replace all the sheet metal from the doors forward including the cowl hood. It would probably be easier to state that all the parts on this truck have been replaced with exception of the frame, cab, bed, wheels and rear axle housing. The truck has been lowered properly, has a new GM crate motor and transmission. The dash carrier was badly cracked and I replaced it from GM as well. All the other parts, sheet metal, chrome, glass, dash components, carpet, lighting, roll pan with hidden trailer hitch, door handles and locks came from LMCTRUCK.COM. The paint is PPG Hot Rod black and the red is the factory red, base coat with PPG clear coat. I chose the colors to make the red pop after color sanding it and buffing it with 3M 4stage system. I chose the black to make an easy repair if ever damaged by door dings since this is a daily driver. I am a painter by trade and an ASE master tech so all work was done at home in my spare time while driving this truck everyday. It is still a work in progress. I want to thank LMC Trucks for their quick service and using the best parts available to purchase. I have only had one issue that was small and they handled with professionalism. I am a die-hard LMC customer.
