1963 Chevy SWB – Jim M.

I have always been fond of the 60’s GM Pickups. Remembering back to when I would stand in the seat as a youngster and “drive” in granny gear in the hay field while my dad walked alongside tossing hay bales in the back. Since I am a 1964 model I wanted to find one close to my age and came across a 1963 GMC SWB in 2012. I started out just fixing a couple things and it turned into a full resto and now I enjoy showing it as well as cruises. I converted to disc brakes/PS, lowered 1.5″ in the front, built 350 SBC, magnaflow SS Dual exhaust, lots of new sheet metal, Oak bed with SS strips and more. LMC is 65 miles from me. Great to have them close enough to drive to several, several times. “Pretty Penny” will be in the family for a long time! Keep them on the road!
