1966 Chevy C10 – Jim J.

Shortly after we married in 1977 I bought a ’64 GMC and did some restoration on it but I was just too broke to take it to the level I wanted. Fast forward to 2017 and I found a ’66 Chevrolet in good condition that already had a good bit of mechanical work done on it but the owner had grown tired of working on it and it was for sale. I bought the truck as it’s fourth owner and immediately began restoration work on the truck. I found LMC’s website and began putting together what I needed to complete the restoration. I bought the truck on Labor Day weekend of 2017 and had it on the road by the first of May 2018. I’ve found countless new friends because of this old truck. It’s a fantastic conversation starter and almost everyone I speak to about it mentions something with their grandparents or a memory of riding to the fishing hole in the back of these old trucks. I have thoroughly enjoyed the process of putting this ’66 back into service and look forward to doing another one as soon as I find it.
