1984 GMC Sierra – Gerald A.
I bought this truck 3 days after buying 3 other L.W.B. fleetside trucks, as I couldn’t find a step side while looking hard… Go figure, 3 days after spending 4,500.00 on a pkg deal for 3, I ended up finding my 84 Step side 350 700R4 3.73 Posi apparently from Texas.
Truck was in really good shape with no rust, just needed to be put back together. So after 12 days buying parts, I finally was driving it and had to do a good buffing job on it days after. Then in the winter, I brought it in the shop for another total going over, top to bottom with lots of my own custom touches.
Narrowed and tucked a different front bumper with Bumperettes, custom hand built center console, black upper interior with new sunroof, 1998 Yukon power buckets, new carpet, hidden latch on tail gate which I modified to be removable like the newer trucks, chains removed, bed side ends capped, all new hand cut bed floor – hard maple with custom cut and fitted aluminum checker plate, custom hand made dual scoop hood with all gauges in the D.S. one (Tach, Water, Oil, Amps, plus an extra hood with a scoop. Probably more I’m forgetting.
Thanks to L.M.C. for many of the parts.
