1988 GMC S15 – Matt M.

Not a long story since I just got it…

Have been looking for the perfect truck for over a year now, was ready to drop 30k on a dealer, ended finding this one in the classifieds. Drove 90 miles one way to look at it. During that, the alternator took a turn for the worse. Drove home and came back with an alternator, truck drove fine except for a vacuum leak with a miss in the engine. Anyway, got it home and working on it now. Needs a wiper motor and a few other things. Have an EGR on the way and it gave me a great excuse to buy a compression tester and borescope. Truck is original owner and body has no rust.

I love this truck and don’t even have it tagged yet. Iron Duke motor, 5-speed T5 and a Chevy ten bolt rear…lol. Look forward to throwing a lot of money into it!!
