1979 Chevy K10 – Isaac S.

As a young kid, I always admired classic square body trucks. As I got older, I found out that my father used to drive a 78 stepside, that just happened to be my dream truck. I was only twelve, but I had enough money to buy a “fixer upper”. I looked on Craigslist, and on Uncle Henrys, however, I never found the right truck for me. One day a family friend text me, and he told me about a truck a couple towns over. My dad was out of town so he went with me too look it over, soon after, it was mine for $1200. Since that day, it has been a fun father son project. I’m now 16 and got my license, and we are just finally finishing it up. LMC has been amazing about sending the correct parts and sending them out pretty quickly. The best part was watching it slowly turn from potential into reality. Most kids wouldn’t take the time to do what we did, but in the end, it was well worth it because now I have my dream truck.
