1989 GMC S15 – Ricky R.

My son and I bought this truck in 2005, his first vehicle. He was 18 and going to graduate so we bought it for a project to go through from top to bottom leaving it stock. The truck had a blown motor bad clutch leaking heater core etc.. so we pulled engine lifted body off frame and cleaned painted all frame and under carriage and engine bay. Had the pan and valve cover chromed painted Rebuilt engine and installed. Then we pulled seat and changed color inside the interior to black, recovered seat and carpeted. Coated bed with Herculiner, added rims tires and bed cover, gill,lights and other body parts. Its now 13 years latter and were finished with the project. We have had our ups and downs but he’s learned a lot and we have grown closer and in the end that’s what’s important in life, teaching our children and building a close loving relationship. He says he’s keeping the truck for life.
