1973 Ford F100 Ranger XLT- David C.

I was only 14 years old in the 1980’s when I got my first vehicle. No license, no permit even. My dad wanted to show me the value of hard work, so when I had saved enough up by doing years of chores it finally arrived. For the next few years, I worked hard to save up enough to take it to school for the first time when I was 16. This truck got me to school during very formative years. I put my blood, sweat, and tears into it. I planned on it being my college vehicle as well. However one day while taking a lunch break from my first job, I couldn’t find it in the parking lot. My head was spinning. Was I losing my mind? Was this a prank? I never saw that truck again.
Having it stolen was a big loss for me. I drove various other cars during college, but that truck was in the back of my mind every time I got behind a wheel. I combed national auto classified magazines for almost 20 years and always came up empty handed. Trucks that I did find were going to need so much work that salvage yards were never going to get even close.
The Internet boom of the 1990’s arrived and little did any of us know it was here to stay. In the early 2000’s, I saw an online classified that had a truck that actually had a straight body, which at this point was my only pre-requisite for considering another truck. However, like the truck I had before, this one had the same Ranger XLT package, 360 motor, green exterior, and black interior as mine had! I jumped at the chance. One day while surfing a few parts websites, the stars were suddenly aligned. LMC Truck graced my computer screen. I could now make the truck show quality like I always wanted. The sad story before was now going to have a happy ending 30 years in the making!
Now, I owe everything to LMC Truck because without their help, I’d still be wondering what happened to my 1973 Ford truck instead of driving one.
