1982 Chevy C10- Mike R.

My dad purchased this truck in 1983 and I was in the 5th grade. I immediately fell in love with it. On my 16th birthday my dad gave me the truck and it’s been with me ever since. I took this truck to my high school prom, graduation and many dates. Back in the late 80’s and early 90’s there was not many trucks on the road that had this look except for farmers and their trucks were tough just not pretty. In 1997 at the age of 25 and a wife with two kids I focused on building a home for us. This truck hauled everything from shingles to drywall and helped me get my home done. In 2001 I parked it by the garage because the transmission began to slip and it sat there for the next 17 years. It weighed heavily on me all those years that I neglected her. I made the promise she would roll again. Last summer ( 2018 ) I was told by several people it would not fire up but with a new radiator, battery and oil change it did! Her name is Bessie and she sounds as good as the day I parked it. There is a lot of work to be done but with the help of LMC Truck and my determination, Bessie will be glorious again!
