2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 – Donald W.

My 2011 Silverado started life as a standard extended cab LT work truck, or so that is what I told myself. It was a cold November morning. We had taken our old ‘01 Silverado out for the last time. It was showing 347k on the clock and the rust had begun to take over. Not only did it look bad, it had begun to be a real money pit.
As it would happen, on the way back from putting the old girl to rest, we ran across a car lot that had mostly work trucks. Just what I had been looking for. I really could not afford the 2500 HD I had been looking at. The salesman showed me a 1500 LT that would work just fine. After a test drive and three hours of paperwork, we drove off the lot with a Steel Blue 2011 extended cab daily driver.

I began to see many of the same trucks on the road. Same color, same wheels, same basic set up, so I knew I had to make some changes to mine. Step in LMC. They have been my go-to for many of my previous truck do-overs. One thing leads to another, and I now drive a truck that stands out in a crowd of plain Jane daily drivers.
I replaced the chrome grille with a black one and also removed the little stock side mirrors and replaced them with a set of towing ones. I also replaced all of the lights, including the third brake light. The truck also sports 4-inch lift custom black wheels and steps. Not too bad for an old work truck.[lmc_story_gallery]
