My first truck was a 1985 GMC High Sierra, which was two-toned blue and silver. I kicked myself for a long time after selling it. I looked for many years for a similar one and in 2018, I found it in Hiram, Georgia. A friend and I drove the eight and half hour drive from St. Louis to trailer the truck back. When we arrived, we realized that the truck would not fit on the trailer that we brought due to the wide track width. We drove back without it. Two weeks later, we took a bigger trailer down and we were able to bring it home. The truck was in great shape and I only needed to fix a handful of things as the previous owner did most of the work. I have plans for a big block swap this winter.
