1959 Ford 100 – Eric G.

First Ford Pickup

I recently acquired this almost completely original 1959 F100 (292 V8). With only 4,600 original miles, the story is that it was owned by a young man who died in the Vietnam War and then it sat in a barn for decades. It changed hands a couple of times but no one put it on the road.

Now, with some new rubber, wires, and other parts that wear out just sitting around, it’s back doing what it was born to do — working on a farm.

It was originally blue and white, but the young man decided he liked black better — so the paint is old but not original. Besides that, everything else is pretty much as it was in 1959 (no seat belts! — just ordered some from LMC). Interestingly, it didn’t have the “F-O-R-D” across the front so the prior owner put a 1958 emblem he had on instead.[lmc_story_gallery]
