1964 GMC 1000 – Adam A.

Back in 2012, my Dad, my Grandpa, and I bought the truck down in Tennessee so I could learn how to fix up a vehicle (I was 14). A local body shop did the metal work and painted it, and we had a local upholstery shop redo the seat with matching sun visors. The engine is (we think) a 1978 GM V8 with a 350 automatic transmission. We redid all the wiring along with installing the engine, and put all the stuff together like bumpers and the bed among other things.

This was a slow process and last year (2018) was the first year that we were able to take it to car shows. Every show we went to last year, with the exception one, we placed in the top three in the truck category.

This body style has always been my favorite truck, so thinking that we were able to find one like this so many years ago and fix it up now to the quality it is something amazing to me. I grew up going to car shows with my grandpa so being able to ride to them in the truck with him is something really special.[lmc_story_gallery]
