1966 GMC 1000 – Bryce H.
Father and Son C10 Project
Hi, my name is Bryce. We own a 1966 GMC C1000 Custom Cab Short bed. Three years ago, I obtained this truck in 2016 to be the father and son project my dad always wanted to do. The reason why I got the truck is because my dad has a bilateral non-cancerous brain tumor.
We worked on the truck together and had fun before he had his surgery. He made it though surgery and is doing great today. I’m so blessed I got the opportunity to work on this truck with my dad because it has built up sentimental value and I just had fun working on a older truck with my dad.
We are still currently working on it and still having fun together, learning along the way.
When I was younger, my dad would always tell me how me and him would get an old Chevy to build up and work on together. Finally in 8th grade, I got my dream truck. She was in bad shape, rough, and camouflaged. We spent so many long hours working on getting it ready for my senior year of high school. We mostly did everything ourselves in our two-car garage. I remember when I would always pull the truck out, just to rev it up and annoy the neighbors. I really do love working on it with my dad, and it has built up a lot of pride in what me and my dad have accomplished together.[lmc_story_gallery]
