1989 GMC K1500 – Nate B.

I bought this truck in November of 2016, when I was fifteen years old. I got my licenses the day I turned sixteen and drove my truck happily for seven months. Then I blew a head gasket revving the poor old small block at school, ( I have a Flowmaster Super 10). My father owns a body shop that I work at periodically, so we decided to pull the motor out and learn to rebuild one ourselves. This simple replacing of a head gasket quickly turned into a motor rebuild, which in turn led to some rust repair, lots of por-15 (on the frame), and a new paint job, among countless replaced parts from LMC. We ended up completely restoring the truck, head to toe, putting a upgraded valvetrain in the motor, some new wheels and tires and most importantly, a BLUE BEDLINER paint job. I am now eighteen and happy as can be with my “brand new” truck, except for that awful gas mileage that I’m sure my right foot has nothing to do with![lmc_story_gallery]
