Dad’s Truck

This is my dad’s truck that I recently acquired from my mom. Dads long battle with cancer took his life over a year ago. I would go down and take him to his chemo treatments, since he could not drive he always wanted me to take and drive him there in his truck. Just driving it now makes me feel he is still next to me. After a year of holding on to the truck mom decided to sell it. I never really liked it till now, thought it through and told mom that I wanted it.

After long consideration, I put my ’57 Chevy up for sale that I had for 31 years, sold in a day and bought the truck off mom. She said that she wished she could have just given it to me but money was tight after dad passed. It’s a 2002 Ford Fx4, that was left exactly the way dad drove it. Future plans are for nothing but maintenance, since restoring it in my mind would take away from what it was. Just sitting in it makes me smile.[lmc_story_gallery]
