1977 Ford F150 – Buddy A.

Father Son and Sister “Project”

I was 15 years old and grew up in the shop working with my dad who was a bodyman. That Christmas came and I walked up the stairs to a big gift wrapped with my name on it. I tore it open and it was a grill for a  my dad picked up at a flea market. There was a second gift and it was pictures of this 1977 f150 sitting in a feild and my dad told me him and I would build my new truck together. We spent hours in his shop designing this truck in our heads and searching local papers for parts trucks. It was the most magical time of my life.
That summer my dad passed away unexpectedly and I now had very limited knowledge or know how on what to do. I was in highschool and I was wanting to build this dream my father and I talked about. I tore the truck completely down and had no idea how to put it back together so my little sister helped with all the little things and never really got anywhere on it. I joined the army right out of highs chool so my truck went on the back burner for years while I served and didn’t have time. My sister worked on it here and there while I was gone and acquired a lot of parts needed for it. Unfortunately she was killed by a drunk drive 4 years after my dad passed so no progress was made.
Come forward a few years and I just left the army and was gonna finish the truck. Bought a new engine and lots of go fast parts. I installed and got it running then became very sick and had to stop work on it again until 2 years ago when I picked up the wrenches and started back into building this forgotten dream while suffering to work through the demons as I build this connection back to my lost family. I spend every free day working at it and I became a father as of April this past year and now I wanted it done so my daughter and I could build the memories in this truck that meant so much to my family…
July of 2019 I painted the truck and put it back in one piece and drove over to see my daughter who was only 3 or 4 months and let her be the first besides me to be in this truck…I have had my fair share of blood sweat and a lot of tears into this truck and is on the road now (still not 100%) finished and I build a future with my family in the crazy journey this truck has became..[lmc_story_gallery]
