1987 Chevy S10 – Ralph W.
Frankenstein 2.0
I started out with 74 Vega. It just won’t do what I want it to do. So I had a friend who asked me if I knew someone that wanted to buy a street strip truck. I went to look at it with full intentions of buying it for the body selling the drive train. We I look at it and has a straight body. In primer even! So I look up and down this body. I check out that the truck comes with new gauges, fresh 355 chevy, fresh transmission which are both in the truck. Has a nice 12 point roll cage, new radiator and fans along with aluminium water pump, and Holley hp 150 black fuel pump. HS 2 new scat seats not installed wrapped in plastic bags. Saw nice tubs out back with unfinished down bars and door bars. New mad ignition box, distributor wires, coil pack, so I get down to the important part of this journey. Price which most ask upfront. The tells me he has over 8,000 invested. I can see lots of work done to the truck. He gives me a 5,500 dollar price tag. Told him I will talk to the Mrs. To see what she thinks. She has already given me a wink from across the room. We go home and before we are 10 miles away she says we are BUYING THAT TRUCK! So I go to rearranging monies to make it happen. I knew that there would be some missing parts here and there needed a paint job and the new painless wire harness needed installed as well. Get the money buy the truck bring it home and first thing I decided to do was paint it. Took it to a shop got a quote paid the man left the truck. Still have lots to do but getting closer everyday. Awaiting an order now from LMC.COM which will be here tomorrow. More to come!![lmc_story_gallery]
