1955 Chevy 3100 Series II – Maurice J.
Maurice purchased the pickup in 2005, from family friend and neighbor, Stan Purvis. At that time the pickup was pearl white, had a Chevy 307 and a 4 speed Muncie. Maurice’s son, Gary, drove the pickup to his junior and senior proms in 1992 & 1993.
Shortly after purchasing the pickup, Maurice (with help from family and friends) started a full restoration, which included a Chevy 350 (400 hp est), 700R4 trans, power brakes, aluminum radiator, electric fan, all new wiring harness, new interior, a custom rear roll pan (with bow tie tail lights), flat black paint, baby moons and white wall tires. The pickups incredibly simple engine bay is one of its best features.
Maurice enjoys working on the pickup and taking it to car shows with his family. He is proud to know the pickup will remain in the family for generations to come.[lmc_story_gallery]
