1956 Ford F100 – Jim I.

Father and Son, Keeping The Trades Alive !

My son just turned 13 this past January. I started him out at 4 1/2 yrs old racing quarter midgets, driving the lawn tractor, and help with construction around the house. His attention span is limited by our society these days of electronics. I don’t know how these kids can stay on that stuff for more than 24 hrs a day and still want more. So I wanted to get a project that we could do together in the garage away from all that crap. So it begins, I started looking at Hemings, Craigslist, eBay and such for a project. I really wanted an early 70’s or late 60’s mopar, but the money these rods are bringing now are insane. So my other choice was an early pick up, build into a restomod or pro street. I took my son to look at a few trucks for sale and I could see a slight spark start to ignite. Then I found a great starting point 56’ ford f-100. So now the fun begins, let’s see if the fire burns inside him as it does me. Stay posted for the journey.[lmc_story_gallery]
