1973 Ford F100 – Douglas C.
Ol’ Yelller
My yellow 73′ ford f100 in my life summed up. It was my grandfather’s truck in 74′ and used as a farm truck and for hunting by him and when he passed away it went to my father. My father was a mechanic his whole life and kept it stock for many years. In june of 89′ drove my mother in it to the hospital to have me! I use to stand on my father’s lap and steer the truck around our house as a young child and in high school started to work on the truck with my father as a bonding experience and teaching experience for me. That sealed the deal for me and began my love for using my hands to build something that I can be proud of and understand the work that goes into building and restoring vehicles. As I got older my father taught me what he could, thanks to LMC we were able to have this experience. My father has sence passed away and I received the truck and continue to use LMC to keep up on the care and maintenance on my truck to keep memories alive and now have a son of my own that is Doug the 3rd that will receive the truck one day and be left with something that he can be proud of and share with me that I shared with my father and my father shared with his. Now the trucks pushing 500hp to the rear end. Tci transmission, b&m mega shifter, comp cams, edelbrock heads, hooker headers, Mallory ignition, Holley street avenger carb. Thanks again LMC.
