1979 Ford F150 – Ryan A.

I had always wanted this year of truck and I had always been on the lookout for one for the past few years. I kept looking online sometimes to see what’s out there. One day I found an ad for this truck. An older gentleman had his son put it for sale online since it had sat under a tin roof for 10 years. It has 302 mated to a NP435 transmission and a 9″ rear end. I found it and immediately called the number listed. I told him I wanted to see it ASAP! I met up with the gentleman and his son and saw the truck and knew I had to revive this truck and get it running again.
So I purchased the truck and brought it home. As soon as I pulled it off the dolly, I pulled the plugs and sprayed lubricant in cylinders and let it sit overnight. The next morning, I was able to break the engine loose. I’ve had her for just over a month now and got the engine running and changed all the fluids. I’ve replaced the tires, fuel tank, sending unit, the complete brake system, all the steel and rubber lines and the turn signals and hazard switch. Everything works and the truck is registered and insured now. I drive it more than my 2013 f150.[lmc_story_gallery]
