1993 Chevy Blazer – David M.
My Non-Blood Brother
Well my best friend/brother grew up behind me in a standard neighborhood. His parents weren’t the greatest so he spent most of his time in my house. My mom and dad, brother and sister love him to death. We have always been there for each other. Back when he was 19 he moved in with us. He had this tired Plymouth scamp that had a bad 318 so I gave him one me and my dad were building. Of course it wasn’t ready but we got it in the car and spent most of our time just cruising. 19 is a crappy time for a clean cut kid. We didn’t drink or smoke but we loved all things cars so we spent our time hitting junkyards near the Pinelands of NJ
He eventually moved to Georgia, I went to Arizona but we still try to talk a couple of times a week. A couple of years ago I had mentioned that I always wanted a full size two door blazer. As luck would have it Rich had one. So, he is a body guy and I am engine guy. I order the parts and puts them on, he resprayed the body, it looks awesome. We are coming down the home stretch of a 3 year build and it is fun, I try to get down there when I can but, life always seems to make it hard. Now we are looking for a good engine harness but sometimes the internet gives you more choices than you need.
One day real soon, I am hoping to fly out there and drive it back with him to Arizona, one hell of a road trip. We expect breakdowns and problems but that is ok, its part of the adventure! I am a prison officer so talking and working with Rich really keeps me centered. We did a color change to Black. The interior is tired but I will figure it out when we get it here.
I love rich, not because of the Blazer but because we are brothers:)[lmc_story_gallery]
