1993 GMC Sierra – Kurtis P.
1993 GMC Sierra
I bought this truck from the third owner in the fall of 2019. The owner warned me the motor needed to be replaced. I ended still buying the truck because this style is getting harder and harder to find. I was able to find a motor and had a local shop install it for me. After the motor was installed I stored it for the winter and decided to do a complete rebuild of the truck. I got it down to just the drivetrain, cab and frame. I decided to replaced brakes, shocks, front sway bar bushings, fuel pump and wheel bearing while I had it part. The only body parts that wasn’t replaced with OEM or LMC parts was the bed and hood. I was lucky enough to buy a OEM driver door. I decided to make the truck a Sierra GT clone. It’s not the original color but I wasn’t a fan of Tan Colored trucks and I like red! I did all the work myself in my garage, working on it for a couple hours a night. I did all the paint, body work myself and hired out for bed to make sure it was good and straight. I started the truck in March of 2020 and finished it in June 2020. I think that this is best style that GM came out with. The plan is to keep the truck until my son can drive and then hand it off to him.[lmc_story_gallery]
